Art

Genesis 1:26-27 describes how we are made in the image of a wonderfully creative God.  When we create, in art or in other areas, we are using the gift of creativity that God has given to us.  Color, form, texture, pattern, balance, rhythm, and other elements of art are part of God’s creation, and testify to God’s existence and His creativity.

Our art program allows first through sixth grade students to participate for one semester in weekly teacher-led classes where they learn to use the elements of art and various art techniques to complete projects.

Junior High and High School students may take Art as an elective class to further expand their skills through a number of different mediums including watercolors, pastels, paper maché, clay, and even multi-media.

One year of Art taken at the High School level meets the Graduation Requirement of 10 units of a Fine Art.
